Sipping my Coffee with my Old Flame!

Coffee Cheese Chiffon Cake

27th April.
I was having a quiet and peaceful moment by myself. The time was 10.30 p.m. With my favorite cup and saucer while sipping coffee with a slice of cake. The cup and saucer was my first dinner set I bought when I first got married, *It is my Old Flame* Sitting alone by the family dinning area almost drifted me to Dreamland. Which I guess I was, and still am a *Dreamer* And keeping away from the reality of the present *ding dong that's playing in my head*
Is it wrong to be in Dreamland and having to Play House sometime? I guess NOT!
It's a ladies thing to enjoy or be in touched once awhile with your collections. As I always mentioned, I love beautiful things, be it expensive or cheap as long as it attract my eyes. Masalahnya, I never like to dispose old things, but I do like to collect new things..so tak hairan lah I have plenty of rubbish in my house *Oops, not rubbish but sentimental things*
The teacups was nothing compared to the others that I have but somehow, I have a soft spot on them. It's small in size *good actually, it minimize the portion of coffee that I drink. And also, brings back the past memories of how I had served my family.

Well, I baked again and it's Coffee Cheese Chiffon Cake. Very little portion of cheese in it about 40 gm and 25 gm of butter. With 4 eggs and a cup of milk. The taste of Coffee makes me love it more. So you see, it's not really rich in calories.
Each time I opened my fridge I had been looking at the cream cheese that's been left untouched. I knew that it's going to be moldy soon if I don't do something to it.
And my Kids love looking for Desserts in our fridge whenever they hunger for food, you know after midnight especially *it's the trend now, they don't sleep only after 2 a.m*

Yes, you peeps must be wondering where I got the time to bake. I always make time for things I like. I just love to see the results of the baking of different cakes I made especially Chiffon Cakes. And of course I enjoyed eating it with satisfaction after that, hehe.
Eating with moderation is something that is really difficult to do. But it's good practice! Rather than having to skip or eat without reservation. That will give you 'Big Problem' later..maybe sooner than you think!
So, try to enjoy small pieces of food each time we have our snack or meal.

And meanwhile, after a few hesitation of what to cook, I came up with this..
for Dinner.

Bread, Sardine and prawns with mushrooms
and potatoes. We ate it as Sandwiches.

Bye!!

Syazwan's B'day and my Menus

25th April.
Happy birthday Son! My baby is 27 yrs old yesterday. Papa and Ma wish you all the best in life Dunia and Akhirat. And I guess it's about time for you to think about a life partner i.e. to carry on live to the next level and to fulfill your destiny. That will make us happy parents *before we get old and tired Syaz, find someone who love and care for you, like we do* Insyallah, you will always have our blessing!

Hb and me had an appointment after Physio with a contractor regarding our rented house in Subang. Frustrated with the old tennant's ungrateful selfish attitude... But that didn't spoilt my plan to cook for my Son's special day. I cooked Pilaff Rice with Prawn Masala and salad. Of course with one cake...'Chiffon Orange Cake' Simply loved by everyone in the house.

26th April, Tuesday.
I made my favorite Pasta for lunch today. I like it because it has a light taste and light for your stomach as well. Some extra side dishes like Avocado Salad and Fried Salmon. And not forgotten my herbs from my garden.

Meanwhile...

This is something to share what I made on Sunday morning.
Hmm, Scones for breakfast, Yummeh!!

And Nasi Lakna for Dinner.

Have a nice day! Make our everyday life colorful!
Adios!

Addicted to Sinetron

Seri Muka was served for the evening while enjoying our favorite Sinetron. Seri Muka pandan was never my favorite! But I just enjoyed making it...eventhough I always failed making it *never got the right recipes*. Oh, I wish my mum would see this! And hope niece Ida could show this entry to her. I used to call her for any traditional recipes, but this time got from one of the bloggers. Yooohoo!! well done. Opps, bragging pulak. It was still warm when I slice it. Should let it cool then only it will be nice and firm and comes out clean when cut. Hb loved it..soft, rich and tasty, he said. Thank you Hb, but you can only enjoy 2 slices, alright?

This was what happen, when you slice it while it's
still warm.

When I mentioned Sinetron, Yes! Indonesia Soap Opera. 'Sejuta Marshanda', hahaha, which I seldom wasted my time on T.v during the past. Guess what? Hb too enjoyed the show, though to him it's a stupid story. We were glued from 2pm till 4 p.m. Impatient of the coming episode because of many intermissions, we decided to watch on Youtube. Lepas Marshanda filipino pulak! 'Marimar' This one I highly recommend...*jalan ceritanya very good*
I used to make fun at my eldest who watched Dramas the never ending tales.. from one Sinetron to another...Dahsyat, dahsyat!
AND now I'm one of them.. each time we called, we talked about Sinetron...cool ya!

Look at this man, mulut tak berhenti complaint, but
still glued on that chair!

Taking a break, call about Football.

O.k, hope you guys enjoy those pictures. Till my next entry ya!
Adios.

A Gloomy Wednesday Morning!!

What happened during the wee hours of Wednesday morning??
The night was terribly warm and dry. Hb had a restless night tossing around every now and then. And, about 4 a.m, cousin Tapa sms the result of football to Hb through my phone. But I normally read it to Hb the next morning. And at passed 5 a.m, my brother Noordin sms that my cousin Megat Razim a.k.a Lope, passed away. Innallillah Wainnallillah Hirojiun. Langsung tak boleh lelap kan mata sampai ke pagi. Sungguh terharu! Had been quite sometime we had not met. Semoga Allah tempat kan beliau di kalangan orang2 yang beriman.

My schedule went on as normal for that day. But, I was like floating in the air *sleepy* Fetched Hb back from Pantai and had lunch at Anjung Merah. Once back home, I was totally drained out of energy and focus *mental and emotional* I did not know for how long I had dozed off on the sofa. Though, I don't practice sleeping in the afternoon. But, it sure gave me good peaceful mind...and completely feeling vigorous after that. What wonder a short nap will do to you.
I missed my Sinetron, by the way.

Meanwhile...

Dinner I cooked for the kids
Kurma Ayam/telur, Gulai Masam Ikan and
Fried French Beans/Celery.
But Hb wanted something simple.

Fifa and me had Salad for lunch, while Hb was out.
Out? ya, with son to settle some unsettled matters.

It's nice having this for lunch/dinner once a while.

Have a good week. Bye!

Show your talent ladies!

I spent time on the net on Saturday looking for recipes. My inner heart wanted Curry Puff badly..teruk kan? So I finally got the recipe, Karipap Pusing *Swirl Curry Puff* with beef filling. I had tried making it before and memang sedap.
Ya ya, I know it's high in calories, But I only ate 2 ketul * the size of my curry puff besar tau, hikhikhik* Tak nak la terlalu pikir calories...

The pastry was crispy and rich.

We had this treat together in the evening while
watching our favorite pastime *tv*

Yup, heavenly delicious!!

Spaggetti with pepperoni and Cuts Salmon.

This is one of Hb's favorite, Mee Kuah.
Rasa ter amatlah proudnya when Hb puji sedap.

Plants and Food, what else!

I went to Sungai Buloh on Tuesday. Gee, I love going to Sungai Buloh. Hb tagged along. It was about 10 something in the morning when we left home, sampai pun dah past 11. Though, far from my house, but it's worth the trip. I am familiar with a few florist, plenty of choice and cheaper compared to other places. I beli pasu, tanah baja, baja bunga, Some herbs plants, like oregano, thyme, Rosemary, and parsley and the purple plant *don't know the name* Oh ya, Pokok cili padi dan pokok terung pun I beli.

Rosemary and Thyme.

Oregano and Parsley.

Pokok Terung. Siap ada buah dah.

Cili Padi

We had our lunch at Thai Restoran named Chiengmai, somewhere closed to the Nursery. Had been there a couple of times. It is situated on a very big land on it's own. The Restaurant is a big bungalow, huge and the deco, kinda too elaborate for a siamese taste with cast iron everywhere. But I do love the entrance, very typical Thai authentic. Even the toilet was well decorated. The food, as for me, it's ok, but not that something to brag about. I managed to snap only the desert, Bubur Chacha, hehe.

This is only the small portion of the restaurant.

The Toilet

The Selection of condiments of Bubur Chaca.

Bubur chacha

Wednesday, after fetching Hb from Pantai, mula lah Jalan2 Cari Makan...dimana? Oh, di One Utama 'Dave Deli' again. I always have to remind myself and Hb to slow down on food. Yes, tak boleh ikut hati. But one thing, we only take reasonable portion. I ordered Grill Boneless Chicken for hb, Beef Rissoles for me and Mix Grill for Fifa.

Mine

Hb's

Fifa's

I baked bread and Mushroom Soup for Dinner on Sunday...very simple!

Okay, that's all for now guys. Till my next entry!
