Another Great Weekend!

Last Monday to Friday, our routine were basically the same. The normal 3 times visit to Physio and our usual lunch outside. No morning coffee with my Kaki's on Wednesday but visited Yati instead, for becoming a first time 'Grandma'! Congrats Yati!(no pictures taken)

Come Saturday, we received news that my niece Jasmin gave birth to a baby boy 'Mukriz Malik'. I was in the middle of cooking lunch and preparing dessert. Hurriedly I was kind of *bersilat* in my kitchen. Well, nothing elabobrate, I cooked asam pedas tenggiri, masak lemak udang with french bean and taufoo, and fried cabbage. For dessert, I made pie *initially Apple pie, but I added assorted fruits, cranberry sauce and walnuts into it *so Fruit Pie lah!
And as usual *self Puji* Hmm.. nice crispy pastry, and the fruits combination tasted very yummylicious, sungguhhh!! He, he..angkat bakul sendiri.

We had it with sauce

My niece Dira followed us to Pantai Hospital. Syazwan drove us there. At Pantai, we hang out at Starbucks waiting for Jasmin. We had to wait for nearly 3 hrs..no room available at the time.

At Starbucks. My two nieces Dira and Kamilia, B.I.L Nizar, and
my son Syazwan.

The proud family, especially Granpa and Granma.

Jasmin and her Newborn baby.

While Sunday Morning, I went to the Market with my maid. Going to the Market was rather stressful. Why? B'cos I hate it! The fishy smell, the slippery floor and also the crowds. When comes to choosing the fish was another big problem. Those days, I didnt even recognize what fish and their names...only sometime ago I started to tag along with hubby *nasib baik* Yes, Normally hubby did the marketing. He loved going to the market, and still do..but it's not save for him, sob, sob...
Once back from the Market, loads to be done...cleaning the fish and putting them in the freezer *everybody knows that* Today, I cooked very very simple lunch...Ikan bakar and kerabu paku plus one leftover food. But for dinner, I baked Foccasia and ate it with Tomato beef soup *minestrone* And dessert, Orange Chiffon Cake. Can't remember, when was the last time I baked it. What I like about this cake, is the texture. It's soo soft that melts in your mouth!

Orange Chiffon Cake

It's quite a tiring day, I needed some rest. I had been on my feet in the kitchen baking and cooking since *who knows when* But hmm, that's what I love to do...
Bye for now!!!

Hanging out with hubby and the kids in our house yesterday. I made Donuts for tea. Actually I got the recipe from Bisous A Toi. Oh I tell you, I love her blog. The way she shoot the pictures, fantastic! And the recipes, oh wow wee!! I'm speechless. Thumbs up for this lady, Rima.. I sungguh kaguuum!! . I guess each time I looked at her blog I got inspired..but still no strength to bake the cakes. A lot of time into it, maybe later when hubby is fully recovered.

Delicious Donuts, can't remember how many I've eaten!

Meanwhile..... tonite's dinner

Menu Best Punya!!

Saturday morning, I was up early..off to the market with my son Syazwan.
Phew! boleh tahan membeli. Hulala..! tengah seronok memasak.

Ikan bawal hitam pangang, Lemak Ketam, goreng isi ketam dlm kulit
dan sayur bayam. Alamak, air asam lupa display.

Isi ketam goreng dalam kulit. It was really special for my kids,
as they love it so much! Tak boleh selalu makan..cholestrol!

These were the menus I cooked for lunch yesterday..sungguh rajin sekali!
Selera yang mengemukan!!

SUNDAY TREATS!!

This Cheese cake did not taste as good as I did before, the texture was not that soft but still ok. And the topping tersalah beli. It should be thick sauce not fruit with heavy syrup like this one. Anyway, we enjoyed it very much!

By the way Sis Teh, thanks for the recipe. Next time
must try your other recipes!

Bye for now! Adios...

'Yawn'... hmm, had been very lazy lately. Maklum lah, almost everything is done for. Normally by 6.30am I was up and about tiding and preparing breakfast. Now, tidur balik until at 7.50.a.m baru terhegeh hegeh. Well, what do you expect, almost 7 months macam Maid..*kesian I, bagi la can*
But, honestly speaking, tho running about without a maid I felt good, my weight maintained, stamina ok, and most of all I had all the house to myself...*merungut..tetap!*
Looking back at what I had gone through, it's an experience beyond my expectation! You never know you can do it until you have done it! Alhamdullillh.

Now, since ada helper, I have to do something to occupy myself, of course hubby comes first. I am thinking to start back my painting or sewing or maybe baking. Ohh! I'm in dilemma..yang mana satu?? Let the time decide! If I don't do something, I definitely be Mrs Chubby! Hikhikhik...tak nak!!

This is what I was afraid of... I have good company and good Food!
Habis sepinggan Nasi Lemak. Mak Oii!!

Our Usual Wednesday Morning breakfast at Uncle Lim.

NEW BROOM SWEEPS CLEAN!!

As the saying goes... but too early to tell. And hope
she will last longer. By the way, this is my new maid.
We call her Ani.

Before I start *bragging* again, I would like to wish the Chinese "Happy Chinese New Year". The Holidays is over tho, but I guess the celebration is still on. As I could still hear Fire Crackers at my area until now.

Today, I had planned to go to Fomema, *health check for my maid*But, hmm, I sudah on the t.v, and there I was glued for almost two hours watching with hubby. It was a sad movie about a father who wanted to sacrifice his life *heart* for his son who suffered from heart failure. And the father was not insured, so, could not afford to get a donor. Sob, sob... this movie had a happy ending, anyway. As I watched this, I could not help myself thanking God for the bless, that my hubby is very much insured. What if, he is not? 'Na uzubillah! Always look at the brightest side whenever you feel down.

Since my plan canceled, off I went to the kitchen to cook lunch. Hubby had to go for physio at noon.
I cooked Fish Kari, Fried Tom Yam Chicken and Fried Bean Sprout.

Fish kari

Fried Tom Yam Chicken.

Fried Bean Sprout*taugeh*

In between cooking I love to attend to my plants. How could I not, the cooking area is overlooking my herbs garden *wink*

Oregano, bought at cold storage in a small pot at rm4.90

Basil, it has been growing wild even on the ground.

This is one of my gardenia, 'White gardenia'

Chempaka

Curry Puff for hubby, he will be starving when he normally came back from physio.

Until the next entry. Have a great day.
Adios!!
