My Raya Do on the 16th day of Raya, 24th Aug..
Hubby and I had planned to make Raya gathering since last year.
And so we did.. last Saturday. We catered the main food of course, ended with 280 names on our list..hehe, macam kenduri kahwin. It was 6 years ago we did the Raya Do on this scale. Phew, letih nya.. no joke! planning the cakes, colour schemes and the placing of food. Putting my personal touch to the Raya Do was not only drained out physically but mentally too, I tell you. I love organizing events... I guess I have a passion for such thing. It's a satisfaction when I see my work done according to plan...but don't mention the aftermath...bagai nak pengsan! Yup, I ended having a vertigo the next day. Berpusing2 kepala macam naik bot. What to expect... the weather was hot and hazy what more being under the Canopy for hours. Having to see my friends, neighbors and family all at the same day, it's a feeling that's hard to describe..seronok, but in reality, hehe..yang mana satu nak entertain.
And I baked seven cakes.. Yes, seven. The slight different from normal Raya Do was to have more cakes for sweet tooth people. Since I did not do any cooking for the main course and had lots of time so I decided to bake added varieties to the menu. Thus, my main desire was to bake and decorate the cakes for my guest...enjoyed it very much. Me, my daughter and my eldest son were actively involved making the Do a success. While Hubby supervised and I kinda sad my second son had to work on that day..sob, sob.

The Cookie corner
That popular Red Velvet Cake was gone within minutes
Labeling the cake tags was the best idea, letting the
guest know the names

Did not had a chance to taste this cake, but I do love the dripping
Caramel sauce...the strong smell of burnt sugar, butter and cream.
Hmm..must bake again.

Monday 26th, Aug..
Friends gathered at Manhattan Fish for Cuttoo and Raya Get Together. No one seemed to be making makan2 for Raya..with lots of excuses, maid tak ada la and macam2 lagi. No big deal, we make it simple.. meeting outside is more relax.
Tak habis2 bergambar..
I ordered Fish and Chips
Have a nice day!
