My Raya....Open House.

Asalamualaikum..
We are still in the month of Syawal..rasanya diet tak terkawal langsung. You ate like you have no tomorrow... tho in a small portion but you know kalau berhari2, macam melabur lemak tepu di dalam badan.
We had lamb straight 4 days berturut2...badan panas and so as my throat. My cough was getting bad. I could not sleep well for the past nights. At daytime wasn't so bad only during the night it was unbearable....coughed till yr stomach macam nak pecah terkeluar. I did try a few remedies but didn't work. I was feeling grouchy and drowsy...went to the Clinic hoping to get rid of the stubborn phlegm if the cough mixture works this time....*I nak tidur lena malam ni*
My Hb too likely under the weather. He had been resting and looking tired...I cooked fish soup again for dinner tonight.

Fish soup with Yee mee

Dinner last night..

Hmm.. Dory Fish soup noodle that helped to soothe my throat..

And ...Camomile tea too..

Despite the cough I made an effort to attend Open houses.
God, should I just look and stare at the food?? Kalau tak makan, mesti kecik hati Host..

My Raya..Wedding.

Assalamualaikum..
While the mood is into blogging.....just to share some photos during the Raya..
And start with pictures of dinner that I made last night..Ox Tongue.

Ya, I know it's not healthy to cook internal organs especially this sinful delicious food,
but I don't remember the last time I cooked it...
sekali sekala, no harm kann..

My family love it! And so do I.

Whenever I came back from outstation I was always glad to be home. Home is where my heart is. My plants started to bloom beautifully..my orchids and Daturas especially.

Suasana yang sungguh menenangkan..

Remember I mentioned about a wedding?  Below are some of the wedding photos that I went to last week. My friend Yati and hb Jamlus had invited us to her daughter's wedding on last Friday. The wedding lasted for two days. On Friday was done in their house with full day occasions. We only had a chance to go during the night as we had other engagements during the day. I missed to be with my friends who came during the daytime ceremony, the Akad Nikah and bersanding. On second thoughts, I would never regretted it. The night occasion was  different from what I had been to any other weddings... It's 'Tea Ceremony'...Yati's Hb is from a mix family, Chinese and Malay.  I was honored for being invited for that occasion as it was meant for their Chinese relatives...thanks Yati!

The lovely bride and groom
The Bride and Groom served this Tea to their eldest.
Nice pose with the mother of the bride 'Yati'
We chose orange color for the night.

The entertainers

Beside having Nasi Beriani, we were served Celup celup or Dip Dip.
According to Yati, that's the specialty during Tea Ceremony.
I like that, teringat pulak my sister inlaw's wedding, served Dim Sum.

The next day..at Cyberjaya Lodge..

Standing behind.. parents of the Bride.

Entertained some friends at my house sometime last week

My Raya..balik Kampong.

Asslamualaikum ..
Have I been busy? Oh yes, like everyone else at this festive time. I have been busy entertaining and visiting families around Kl city. In fact, I had just came back from my Hometown, in Perak.
My second son who drove us back.
We had lunch at my Mum's house with my sister Leeza who came with her two sons.
 Monday...

My Mum and Dad.

The twins..

At my Aunty Enda's house. She is Mum's younger sister.

Then....to my brother's house.

My favorite sister in law, Jay. She is not only someone
I could call kakak but my best best friend..*wink*

My Brother Noordin.
I am blessed to have all my family around this Raya *oops..my
other brother, Ibrahim wasn't around this time*...
tho we had our differences but we have each other.

We put a night at my In law's house. In the picture above is my mother in law.

 Father in law and Hb.

The next day Tuesday.. I visited my Uncle Ayah Cik and Wan cik's house around 10 am. We did not informed them..tak nak susahkan mereka, hanya utk beraya...no pictures.
Later, to my Aunty Wan Chor, Mum's eldest Sister. It's been years we had not met. The minute she saw me we were hugging and crying with joy. Lega tak terkata..I managed to visit all Mum's siblings.
They are not young anymore and the memories of my younger days with them still lingers in my mind. I feel contented to be able to visit them all this time around to strengthen the harmony.

Lunch at Pakeeza.
Food, food, food!!

That night..

Dinner at my sister Teh's house.  A small
gathering but surprised with the spread of food
on the table..

I told you..too much food!
Semua...sedap!!

Aren't you glad and blessed having a family?
I am truly thankful to God, that I have them to call
sisters and brothers..
and someone you can be manja with..

Picture not clear..

Too bad, without my sister Intan and my brother Ibrahim around..

Jay with my lovely niece Irina.

We drove back to KL on Wednesday, around 1 pm after saying our goodbyes to both parents and we had our prayer at Jejantas. We simply skipped our lunch, well, as you all know with abundance of food in our stomach for the past days. Ahem..or shall I say we had Tea, haha, we had burgers at Burger King there...makan lagi!

I am loosing words to type...exhausted from my balik kampung early this evening..
I have lots of photos to share during this Raya...and that include a wedding I attended last week,
something different from what I had been to before. I will be sharing it in my next entry.
Adios for now..
