Hello..
I have not been busy but been lazy...yup! The weather made me want to stay indoor and relax. And perut ku pulak meragam...bloated! Also, it's the rain probably buat you betul2 dalam kemalasan. But at times panas terik yang amat.. so humid, then came the rain, selebat lebatnya.. malam sejuk, hingga kan air rasa macam ais. Apapun terima aje lah..semua tu ada kebaikan nya.

Saturday, 19th November.
The Newcomer to the family.. Mimi, my nephew Taqi's wife gave birth to a baby Boy. Congrats to you both and also to my dear sister Teh and Abang Din for their 3rd cucu for this year! Wah, meriah sungguh keluarga my Sis, baru 2 bulan yang lalu dapat cucu twins dan dapat pulak lagi sorang..3 heros pulak tu.
We went to the Hospital on Saturday. And again we gathered at Taman Tun to be with my two sisters the next day. Maklumlah jarang2 jumpa. So, there's always things to share...biasa lah. Sometimes we disagreed, then we kissed and made up. This is what family are all about.
Of course no cooking only bought food served on the table...busy sembang, hehe. We went home late after dinner.

Cooking Mood!

Tuesday, 15th Nov.
I went with Hb to 'Citta Mall' in Ara Damansara yesterday... We were looking for a blender/juicer at Harvey Norman on the 2nd floor. To our surprised, Mr Harvey Norman happened to be there with his VVIP...*tak perasan yang mana satu, org ni kata yg itu, ada yg kata yg itu..argh! tak penting pun* Sungguh melambatkan keadaan..every sales person were so formal and tense.
We were there also for Jalan2 dan Cari makan. Lunch, we had rice...slightly heavy, then dinner baru lah I make something light. My kids are light eaters..*depending on the food* They don't mind if its Noodle, Pasta or Sandwiches, anything but not rice for dinner. Tiba2 hujan selebat lebatnya. Our car was not parked at the basement, did not want to be soaked in the heavy rain.. jadi, duduk lah dekat Cawan, minum Teh Tarik. Tunggu sampai about 3.10pm *tak solat zohor lagi tu* But this is the way our life is now..no rushing home... we have all the time to ourselves. So, why not enjoy life as is now. Alhamdullillah!...



Once back home... reached my laptop, and looked for Bread recipe from one Blogger *recipe books punya lah berlambak tapi... And I decided to bake hmm...guess what? 'Hokkaido Milky Loaf'' Simple as ABC..seriously! I never ever thought that it could be that easy. It was so beautifully cottony soft and of course Yummy! I just want to have it with Butter and Kaya. For the family I made Mushroom soup added with potatoes, carrot and add lots of herb *thymes, oregano etc..*..nampak interesting lah sikit.

Why Worry Too much...

The mind is rather tired, stress and my body ached since last night....I wasn't up to anything...I've been thinking a lot on unnecessarily things, lately.. *sometimes..* Excessive and on going worry and fear! I'm a hugh worrier. I worry about everything big and small. This is what happen... when the mind is so active and don't know how to control...It drains your mental energy, it keeps you from sleeping and unwinding, and wears your body out.

Adakah itu satu penyakit yang dipanggil Anxiety Disorder?

This stage is the stage whereby I have to control my emotions...am coping with my middle age syndrome, with Hb's condition and coping with my growing up Children. These are normal to everyone, we sure have problems coming our way..betul kan? I fear something would happen each ever my boys came back late and then relieved when they were back safely. Not that I haven't reminded myself, that they can take care of themselves, but my imaginations were way far to be controlled. Sometimes, I was awake for a few hours....just worrying!
How to overcome worries?? Huhuhu.

Unlike Hb, he is One Cool Person. He never jump on things unnecessarily...I bet, if some people suffer what he's suffering now, sure in depression... but thank God.. he's trying his best coping it. Of course, not easy....

Nothing that cannot be solved. Whatever the situation is bawak2 lah bertenang, berzikir dan beristifar banyak2. Only to God is the right Path.


In any situation we could be in, the everyday meal is a MUST to prepare thing...

Visiting Malls??

I like the idea of having this variety cakes, then buying
a Whole Cake. Well, this delicious cakes was from
my Nephew Taqi and wife for us..during Raya time.

Why was I at the Mall every 2 or 3 times a week? And how I started lepaking...
*dah tak ada bahan cerita dah..so let me ramble a little bit..*

Cerita dah basi but it started..after a few days Hb was discharged from the Hospital. He had to start Physio immediately. We went to KPJ Damansara just for a few months, then KPJ Shah Alam, also a few months then to Pantai Hospital for One year, and now at UMSC. I had to hang out at the nearest Mall nearby to the Hospital for 2 an half hours for 3 times a week. From Malls in Shah Alam to Malls in Damansara, or Bangsar, and now, Midvalley la pulak.. But what did I do? At times when I got bored with window shopping, I lepak at the Book store.. And sometimes with some friends having coffee, chatted away.. to kill the time.

I wasn't happy, walaupun I got to lepak at Malls, siapa yang suka kan, Hb sakit..He was not strong at the time, had to be pushed on wheel chair. But Alhamdullillah, about few months later, he could walked on his own tho wobbly. Then... slowly he recovered, bit by bit.
So, sehingga hari ini lah I would be around the Mall..wondering around, membeli belah..and having coffee...

Ya, bagi bab membeli ni, memang tak dapat menahan.., kalau dah selalu sangat, you know where to get bargain corner.....seronok! Of course, I do know my limit...apa2 yang price nya reasonable yang tak membuat Hb menegur. Canister dari 1 dah jadi 3..hehe... from 60%, to 80%, yalah one time I bought at 60%, tut tut, turun sampai 80%, giler tak beli..

Raya Haji Aidil Adha 2011

Salam Sayang Aidil Adha kepada semua Muslimin dan Muslimat.
My Nephew Taqi, wife Mimi and Son Aydan celebrated Raya Haji with us. So, Riang Ria Raya tu lebih merrier. With little Aydan running around the house while showing tantrums with his high pitch screamed..*in a toddler's brain a scream plays a thousand words* My kids adore him! He knew very well that he could get all the attention from them. And that made my house alive...kan.

This time, my house smelled of Deepavali, hehehe..as I cooked Indian delicacies, that was Mutton Masala, Quail *burung Puyuh* dried curry, Darca and Pilaff *briani* rice..Ammmak, vanderful! So, that's breakfast ok! And for Desserts pulak, I had baked Chocolate Cake layered in Cherries filling, fruit jelly and Chicken Pie, and that's for our Tea time.
The guys went for Raya Prayer around 8.00 am. And at 10.00, we all went together to Surau for the Korban until 12.00 pm. And after performed the zohor prayer everyone kaput, zzzzz.

Ohh! I was delighted that my Cousin Anis called, they were on the way to my house that evening... an unexpected visit from my Aunty Enda...patut nya anak saudara pergi jumpa aunty. Anyway, sungguh berbesar hati. And juadah2 yang telah di masak dan sedang di ngap by the kids when my Aunty arrived. I hoped they enjoyed my Choc cake, Jelly and Chicken Pie,..rezeki jangan di tolak.

What Are Your Colors?

My life is full of colors... be it in Cooking, Gardening, Painting. And of course that includes ada sedih dan gembira, it's part and parcel of life, like everybody else. My actual character.. entah la..tak tau nak kata, maybe to some people I may be boring or wonderful to be with.. well it's a mix bag.. depends on the eyes of the beholder. Whatever it is, I love colors.... it makes my day. I love to put some colors in my food. I am attracted to food that has at least one bright color added in it...it catches my eyes.

BUT... when comes to Dressing, strictly NO bright colors, please! My clothes are mostly light and earthy colors..or shall I say...dreamy colors. I feel confident and contented in those light colors. I hate Red or Orange or anything bright on me....yang nampak baju dulu dari saya, hahaha. Or maybe, I prefer not to be the center of attraction. My Sister used to say, my choice of colors in my wardrobe is lifeless, not youthful, boring or not exciting. But simply... I don't care!! I just can't wear bright colors..I feel that its not me!
Maybe when I'm older, say.. 60 yrs old onwards, suddenly change to bright colors, who knows...huh!

mince beef kurang rasa..less salt. Once, added
all sort of dressing, Ohhlala!! sedap lah rasanya.

Later, the same night.....

Right after dinner we headed to Bangsar Village.
Since Anna, Fifa's bf slept over, we took her along.
We had coffee at Plan B next to Starbucks.
Reasonable price and love the coffee!!

Tuesday night's Dinner...

I love eating bread or anything simple during the night.

Losing Weight? Painting in between Busy Schedule.

Whooh!..*panting* putting my butt onto my bed pun meletihkan... with the weight that went up and up every time I checked. Huhu.. takutnya, the craved for food cannot be tolerable. Dulu, ada jugak come and go ...but now the crave came and did not seemed to go away.....This time around I would choose to cook the menu with the ones with high in calories. Nak Raya pulak kan, sure akan masak macam2. That's not the way to a healthy living, I know. Not only worried of the weight but also very2 concerned on the calories and the result of Cholestrol nanti. Apa2 pun takut sahaja, tak akan ubah segalanya. But most of the time... I whispered to myself, takpe2 bila gemuk pas tu diet...dahsyat tu.
As of late , we've been eating rice...berselera la sangat. I normally think twice before I cook kampung food. Why? because once I started to eat, I can't stop, heee...

My Nephew Taqi and family spent the weekend with us. Kan dah kata, masak nasi dan lauk pauk. Only during weekend that I got to cook slightly elaborate, when the kids are around. And Sunday, masak Lemak mussels dengan nenas, Fried chicken masak Tom Yam, Ikan belah belakang, sayur goreng dan ulam with Cincalok..memang berselera. Bertambah nasi pun buat2 tak sedar!

Today's Lunch, 26th, November, 2011....


Last Night's dinner...

Ku sangka panas hingga ke petang......

I was lying on my sofa, thinking of many months that went by.. and how I had rowed my boat passing through the waves on the deep sea. And how I calmed myself with dreadful situation which I never dream I could overcome. I never thought of myself as a stable (mentally ok,ya) or even being the strong one. Sigh!... if you ever knew me many years ago, a helpless woman I was. Believe it or not, I even freaked out... if my petrol was less than half a tank, Marketing was out of the question. And freaked out too if driving far long journey on my own or even together with Hb.. Every tiny winy things made me jump. The thoughts of Hospital, weakened my legs. ... Apakah artinya? Was something to be embarased? Not anymore, I was just being pampered...duhh. Hb is such a darling, he spoilt me. Almost everything was done for. And I thought it stays forever that way, but suddenly, our life has changed...
Ahemm.. I am a good Home Maker, I know that for sure!! Heeehee.
Now I know langit tu tinggi ke rendah. Ya, ku sangka panas hingga ke petang...begitu lah, apa2 pun the hardship had taught me to be strong and grateful...tho not much but a little has change my life and I am learning to be independent. Each and every time I prayed hard to make me stronger, reliable, patient and redho. Such that I can cope with what's coming my way. Never imagine I could do it. Alhamdullillah, what I had feared in the past, I had overcome slowly.
Things happened for a reason, isn't it?
When you actually looked back, you will get what you had asked for... but not exactly the way you wanted it to be. So, that's life. Take it as it is. Enjoy every moment of it, because whatever it is, it does not last forever.

A friend who had not called for almost a year, asked about Hb's condition. Assumed that Hb had got back to work, I said, No... Guilty and could not stop blaming herself for not being a dear friend to me. Reminded me of all the good things a wife should do for the husband, to be more suportive than ever, more patient than ever and the ganjaran of the good deeds. Lastly praised me, for being a good wife and mother.... And she went on bla bla bla...
I stood still for awhile, suddenly I realised that I am not that *Good Woman* she described me. I am just an ordinary wife who takes care of very little needs from a slight handicap Husband...who once upon a time treated me so well...
I do sometimes grumble, but most of the time, asked to be forgiven... Which that time I was carried away with other engagements...so, so not faithful kan.
Truthfully, I am not flattered by the praise, nor I should be feeling on top of the world, I don't deserve it. I do hope, God would protect me from being Proud, Conceited or Vain. I was thankful to be reminded such that my everyday life would be guided in the right way without disturbance from the Syaitan, Subhanallah!
