The Blue Willow..

Asalamualaikum...
Our Cuttoo Get together was held on the 15th of January 2014 at Shidah's resident. Theme of the day was in Blue willow or in Blue and white. I had to delay posting the pictures due to the commitment to my girl, sending her for job interviews that stopped me connected with my Lap Top for a while.
And speaking of this, may Allah fulfill my du'aa and may her dream job come true for my baby..insyallah.
I had also promised few friends to post this Get together in the blog. I, too want to share the pictures ..which I personally  think you will love the setting done by our friend Shidah...creative in planning Parties. As a wedding planner, and also house decorating. I love her simple touch, her soft tone color..never too loud so far.Yet simple in her own way, but very classy...soothing to my eyes *Its always my choice...dreamy colors*

Love the setting.. it's all in Blue Spode.

Homemade Lemonade in the bottles was specially made for door gift to the ladies

Nasi Arab as the main dish

The spread of food done by the hostess herself...it was tasty..
I can't remember how many helpings I had.

We began by reciting du'aa and Selawat to our beloved Muhammad Sallallah Alai wassalam on this Maulidur Rasul month.

The ladies look amazingly sweet in blue.

Nice shot!

Welcome 2014

Assalamualaikum..

Happy New Year everyone. May 2014 bring us good things in life. I could not ask for more. What life has offered me, alhamdullillah syukur what Allah has given us.
Life has no meaning if there is no intention to change for the better?
Resolution has to be made!! Moving towards a better phase of life, to practice the way a good Muslim should be. First and for most..Stop whining!  Become a good wife. Staying healthy with good diet. Getting knowledge and facts from the Surah and making it an everyday duty to memorize and understand it. Available for majlis Ilmu..Bonding with family with understanding and much love. Bonding with friends with no ill feelings but with sincerity to one another and etc, etc,.. all towards the better things is life...Insyaallah!
May God grant me the strenght to do the right things.

Not much activities during the past weeks. The weather was too wet to be out. Most of the time lazing around and messing with the recipe books trying out new recipes.. or either snapping photos. Haa..not to mention the piles of clothes waiting to be folded. Tugasan di beri kepada anak..but no patience to see the clothes crumple for sometime.

My Phalaenopsis still standing tall

My first attempt making Victorian Sandwich Cake..

New year day..my sister Teh and family were here spending a night with us. One night is never enough..we had so much to share. Food were prepared before they arrived. Started with Tea, dinner and breakfast...cooking with love.

..my 2nd attempt tasted better than the first one *wink*

Very simple dinner..Prawn Masala, Lemak Ikan, Simple salad,
Fried ikan masin and fried Fish.
Breakfast..Scones, two recipes, from Alton Brown and Nigella.
But the Alton B was the favorite..haha.

...and left over cake
My lovely niece Izian Naziha

It was before Christmas, my closest neighbors came to have dinner. Initially was contemplating whether to carry on with the makan. With no maid only one volunteer who is ever willing to wash the plates....and so I did. Our neighborhood are quite close to one another. And will take turn to have the Do, sometimes we potluck to ease the burden of the host.

Desserts

Bonding with neighbors..

I cooked Kampung delicacies and I could see they enjoyed it..kenapa tidak, with gulai tempoyak, ikan masin, labu masak air, terung masak cili, Daging masak merah and plus a few sambal with ulam. But the desserts were very western, tak aci kann. I baked Caramel and Chocolate Brownies with Peppermint topping. Its was a relieved when it was done..thanks to darling girl, muah, muah. What do I do without her.

Chocolate Cheese Brownies with Peppermint topping

Alhamdullillah  guests bring grace to the house. The next day my Auntie and cousin came to visit. It was an honor for us to receive an elderly Aunt who came to visit her niece.

The pleasure of cooking for someone I adore...

Adios...till next time..insyallah!
