No Time...No Mood...

I was in no time and mood to blog.... also finding words to write was totally difficult. Everyday, is another day. There were stories to tell...but I could not find time and words to write. The more I tried the more I rambled. Tho my mind was on the laptop, but my hands were busy spinning the thread , heehee, still chrocheting...

Still, a few more rows to finish.

But... had to go slow this time. A few days back, I had a splitting headache, ya..non stop chrocheting..till I had to rest, to save my Fast *puasa* that day. The throbbing was bad... during break fast, I could not eat and dozed off. Serik! ... Lesson learnt...not to overdo things. One thing for sure....age is catching up!
Today, still fasting, but I promised myself not to touch the thread,... my hands wanted so much...*addicted*

I was so full of life today, cleaning my room, attended to my plants, out with Hb, *tho fasting* and managed to cooked Nasi Ayam and baked Black Pitted Cherry Cake. Guessed, I have to move a lot instead of sitting many hours concentrating on one thing.
So, here goes my menus.

Oven baked Chicken

Black pitted Cherry Cake

For Hb

Relaxed with this simple and not so rich cake after my Maghrib prayer.

And...yesterday's dinner

And of course, somthing for Hb

Yeah! I had completed my Ganti Puasa...Tomorrow I shall have good lunch with Hb, insyallah!
Adios!! See Yea..

Break Fast Menu

Quenching Thirst on a Hot day!

My stomach hurts and it's making me uncomfortable. It hurts from yesterday night. Dah lah sakit, Puasa pulak tu. I still have 2 more days to go. And Ramadhan is just around the corner. Ya, ya I had been telling myself every year, nak ganti puasa awal2 bila habis Syawal...hmm, tak pernah pun! My girl Fifa, pun sama kelam kabut ganti puasa. And as you know, I was tied up with my Crochet still.... geram sungguh! I kept on skipping a few rows, kira, repeat and repeat. Actually, I should relaxed and do it slowly, but NO I want it done quickly....stressed! And because of that I had missed taking pictures of what I had cooked and eat out. Last Monday....when my sis Teh was here I totally forgot about snapping pictures. We had lunch at One Utama and browsed around a few shops. I felt wonderful, having to go out with Hb and Sis and her Hb.

And for today's Break fast Menu, I had boiled some cooling dried fruits for my throat *red dates, lotus seed, longans, barley basil seeds and winter melon. And I cooked Gado Gado, Bamboo shoots masak chili, fried ikan jenahak, and chickpea masala.

The vegetables that's available in my fridge.

With the peanut sauce or Kuah Pecal.

This drink is loved by my family, especially my Syafiq.
He can drink Three glasses in one go,
It remind me of my dad, he loves it too!
I remembered, every Ramadhan my Mum
will definitely prepared this wonderful drink.

Burp! what a meal!

Jelly, yesterday's left over from our Break fast.

Adios! See you soon, insyallah.....

Crochet and Menus...

Hello! It's been sometime... I was occupied. Remember I mentioned about Craft work. Yes, I got the Crochet books from my Sister Teh, last weekend. And had been crocheting ever since... Strained my eyes, my neck and the whole body was aching. Mana taknya, I only stop if I had to. Initially, it was quite complicated and I did lots of mistakes but as I went along after a few rows, I got the hang of it. And I managed to do 2 doilies in one week.
Ouch! Watch out, you guys!! My kids *25yrs and 20yrs old* were jumping and poking each other on my bed next to me while I was posting this entry... Anyway, love to see them this way rather than they be in their room the whole time. They've all grown up!! I, sometimes missed the noise that we used to have...The only sound that is loud and noisy was the TV, and it never stop from morning till night *hubby's favorite, not past time, but all the time*
Now, let's look at my Crochet.

What a relief!! But... worth the effort!
And planning to do more doily.

The first doily, the tension was bad.

Meanwhile........
Just to share what we had for dinner tonight, Quiche and salad. And more pictures of food during the week.

Dream.....

After the last two occasions that just went by, I just wanted to laze around in the house and looked for old books to do craftwork instead. I did Crochet, but halfway, I cannot understand the photostat copy I bought. I could not find my old Crochet book. And now waiting for my sister Teh to pass me hers. What to expect when you last doing it 28 years ago. Hmm, the crave for Craft is back....
Cooking? I forced myself for Hb and the kids. Understood, that Life is not about relaxing or having to eat out all the time. But, I know, Hb wouldn't mind if I suggested having lunch outside everyday. It's what he wanted.... to relieve the boredom was by going out. But, not for long, for he would be restless with the disturbing sensation on his hands and some parts of his body are still strong. Yup, had to bear with that....outing and quicky, quicky dah kena balik.
Okay, yesterday we had lunch at 'Belangga' Empire Subang. I had been telling Hb about the food. It's more towards Kelantanese Delicacy. Memang Sedap! I highly recommend this place, with reasonable price? Okay I guessed, with that environment and location...and what's important is the food, it's something to talk about.

Hb ordered Nasi kerabu with Beef Sirloin

Mine, Mee Bandung. Slurp! very tasty.

Ice trella.

And what I cooked for dinner last night was actually not planned. I made Thin Crusty Pizza, Cinnamon rolls and salad to go with the Pizza. Eventhough malas, but cooking is something that is a must to every women, especially housewife. But, with passion... then, as a result, you'll have great satisfaction.

Pizza

I guessed, Cooking is my skill. I have been wanting to pursue my dream into the cake business. What if I fail or just 'hangat hangat taik ayam'? What if... I Must NOT have that Negative Thinking!! Nothing wrong if I fail. It's something to help me occupied, besides being with Hb of course, I want to do it for pleasure FOR THE LOVE OF BAKING.. And ENTAH bila this dream will come through or it will just be only a dream then. I hope I wasn't rambling about the idea..AM SERIOUS!! *Ehh....boleh ke??*

Dream is free actually, no charge. Be free to Dream!!
Adios!!!

'Happy Father's Day!'

For 'Papa'

A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes.
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.

A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail....

Papa, you're someone to look up to,
no matter how tall I've grown.

It was a touching but also proud moment when my kids wished and kissed their Papa on his cheek the first thing they woke up...sob, sob...
I could not held my tears as I flashed back when they were little hugging and kissing Papa excitedly on occasion like this. And I am very very pleased that things remained the way it was.

We went out to celebrate that night at Sheesh Mahall Northern Indian Restaurant in Subang Jaya. I had invited my niece Nadira to join us as she was all alone and away from her parents. Well, don't ask me what we ordered, I don't remember other than Pilaff Rice and Naan Bread.
Enjoy the pictures below.

The most important thing a father can do for his
children is to love their mother *wink*

'Happy Father's Day to my Dad and all Fathers in the whole wide world.
Have a wonderful and productive week!! Bye.

'Doa Selamat'

Ya... the big day had finally came and end with satisfaction. It's Cuttoo Time, at my Place on Friday 17th, June.
We did it differently this time started with Recited Yassin followed by Doa Selamat, led by Hajjah Tun from Kota Kemuning. I had invited my Cuttoo friends and neighbors as well, about 20 people attended. Preparations were made a few days earlier, baking and the setting up and can't wait to take pictures....yeah,yeah!
I cooked Kampong Food, Tempoyak Ikan Patin, Masak lemak nenas/udang, Terung masak siam, perbagai ulam dan pelbagai sambal. My friends Lina and Roslina brought kerabu and Som tam. Tunggu.... my menu belum habis lagi.. my English delights, such as Roast Beef, Potato Salad and Chicken Pie. For Dessert... Apple Pie, Chocolate Banana and Red Velvet Cake plus Bubur kacang with Durian done by a Friend, Fairuz. And some Kueh brought by some friends. Indeed, plenty of selection of Food. Whooh! it's like Hotel Buffet.
Huhuhu, Camera tiba2 hilang, no pictures of the mengaji part. Found it later... regretted did not snap more pictures on Food. Saya lah Host, camera man and tukang masak. But, what more could I asked for, tho, penat giller... hasrat baca yassin tercapai and majlis pun alhamdullilah sempurna. And most of all I like to thank my Darling Hb for letting me organized this occasion in our house.

After the Mengaji and Doa Selamat. These were just half of my guest,
the others were late.
